Committee Management

The platform makes it easy to create, edit, and maintain each committee. Every committee can be assigned a category, making it clear what kind of committee it is, while municipality-specific lookup values support local naming and classification needs. This gives administration a dependable foundation for daily maintenance and reporting.

Members and Memberships

A member is the person. A membership is the time-bound link between that person and a specific committee. Staff can search, filter, create, edit, and deactivate members, then manage when each membership starts and ends. That makes it possible to see both the current committee composition and the historical record behind it.

Roles, Parties, Categories, and Relationships

The core concepts are kept separate so the data stays clear and manageable:

• A committee has one category.
• A member can hold multiple memberships across different committees.
• A membership links exactly one member to exactly one committee for a defined period.
• A role describes the function within that membership, such as chair, vice-chair, or member.
• A party describes the member’s political affiliation and stays with the person across committees.

Keeping roles, parties, and categories as distinct concepts makes the data easier to search, filter, explain, and maintain.

Data Import

KommuneUdvalg supports CSV-based import for controlled migration of existing data. Municipalities can work with Import Templates, column and relationship validation, and Value Mapping when source values need to be matched to existing lookup values. Each Import Job runs as an all-or-nothing process, so the full import is either accepted or rolled back.

Reports

The product can generate reports from registered committees, members, and memberships. Available outputs include a committee directory listing committees and members, a seniority report across committees, a constitutional meeting report for setting up a new term, and member history showing historical memberships. Reports are available in both PDF and Excel formats for sharing and further processing.

Multi-tenant Isolation

KommuneUdvalg is designed for multi-municipality operation without shared customer data. Each municipality receives its own tenant with isolated Azure resources in its own Azure subscription. This provides a clear security and operations model where committee data, member data, membership history, and reports remain separate from every other municipality’s deployment.
